ANTI-BEDSORE MATTRESS WITH ORTHOPEDIC EFFECT
General description, features
Due to its unique design the mattress is universal for use both in bed-patients with bedsores (or with risk of their appear) and as a magnificent facility for establishing physiologically correct body position when laying on a back, an abdomen or a side as well as sitting. The mattress can be used at hospitals, sanatoria and at home.
The mattress is a know-how in the world of mattresses and includes:
1. Anti-bedsore effect
Due to its high grade aeration the mattress provides fast healing of skin bedsores (ulcers). Strong aeration results from:
1) air space between the contact points (mattress - skin),
2) spaces between elements of the mattress itself,
3) high air conductivity of foamed polyurethane.
When you are turning at the mattress the contact points are changing that results in some kind of massage with improvement of hemodynamic, microcirculation, cell met
abolism thus preventing development of bedsores.
2. Orthopedic effect
Working surfaces of mattress elements are not fixed tightly that allows proportional filling up and maintaining anatomic curvatures of a body with maximum unloading of a spine not only in a lay-on-a-back position but also on-a-side or on-an-abdom
en. This effect cannot be reached if single-sheet foam-rubber or spring mattresses are used.
Hemispherical contact surfaces allow smooth surrounding of a body with the sensation of comfort and easiness.
3. Easy-to-use
The mattress is constructed from uniform easily changeable elements of specially designed shape and includes 3 interchangeable sections.
4. Comfortable to use
The mattress is compact and easy to transport and store, quickly adjusts its shape to correspond different body position.
5. Light weight
The mass of a mattress is about 8 kg.
6. Longevity
The mattress components are made of high-quality highly elastic foamed polyurethane (Bayer, Germany)
Interchangeability of components provides significantly increased term of its use. Those elements that suffer constant pressure from a body can be replaced with the elements from other parts of the mattress within some period of time. This is very important for bed-patients.
7. Saving money
The mattress do not require any electric power supply.
Characteristics
The mattress is made of high-quality foamed polyurethane from world leading manufacturers: Shell, Bayer, Bast, Goldschmidt. The material has high elasticity and ability to keep the initial shape even after a long pressure.
Our company conforms with and is certified by the quality standard system ISO 9001, accordance to which is confirmed by BVQ 1 certificate # 70379.
Technical parameters correspond to international requirements to the products of such type.
The material is ecologically safe, does not cause allergy, non-toxic, silent in use.
Density of foamed polyurethane is not less than 25 kg/м2. Tension of compression is 4,0 kPa.
Minimal term of use is not less than 8 years (with exploitation of 8 hours per day).
In case of constant use of 24 hours per day (for bed-patients) durability of use accordingly decreases.
The mattress consists of separate cubic elements with the spherical working surface.
Possibilities of use, handling
The mattress has unique set structure and consists of three interchangeable sections that can be bridged together with a tape. These three sections allows a body to be put in several functional positions.
Besides, it is convenient for long use: the elements can be changed or rearranged thus prolonging life of a mattress.
The mattress can be easily adapted to the earlier formed bedsores. For this purpose, one or several components have to be taken out from the set thus eliminating contact of a bedsore to a mattress.
Moreover, an evaporating cup with medicinal substances for improvement of bedsore healing can be put in this formed cell that is quite impossible in other types of mattresses.
The mattress must be placed on a firm smooth surface (sofa, springs, soft grid etc. must be excluded).
Cleaning can be carried out both manually and in a laundry (in cotton bags, with previously having taken out components from the set). Sometimes it is enough to replace polluted components with the clean ones.
Disinfection is to be carried out in camera at 86oC with 30-120 minute exposure .
It is possible to rub with or soak the components in 3% peroxide solution with further rinsing.
